Doggie Cake
Have you seent he cute little painted wooden cut outs at Hobby Lobby in the wood section? They are great for inspiration and ideas for 2-D fondant appliques. That's what I used for the fondant dog you see here. I actually just used the wooden cut-out as a pattern and cut around it., then used more fondant or food writer pens for accents on top.

Laptop Computer Cake
I really loved all the 3-D laptop computer cakes I saw on here and on the internet but I was afraid I wouldn't have the time to do a good job with molding keys, writing letters, etc.! so I went the lazy route. Covered foam core board in gray fondant (1/4" top was hot-glued to the 1/2" thick bottom first); then I attached photo copies of the keyboard and web page that I took with my digi. Photo pages were covered in contact paper before attaching.

Castle Cake
This was inspired by a beautiful castle cake by "Anne" which was based on Debbie Brown's castle cake. Mine didn't turn out near as cute as hers but as I don't have much experience covering cakes in fondant I was pleased. Next one will be even better. 2 9" rounds, 1 8" round, 2 6" rounds for castle. Covered in fondant .

Kakeyla's Cake
16 R, 10 S, 9 R, 6 S, 5 R Lots of problems with transporting this cake...cracks, icing that slid off cake on one tier...MS heat, bad roads, long transport, but all things considered, it doesn't look too bad. It just stinks when you work to get things as perfect as you can then get to the venue and find out you have to re-ice and repair. Chocolate dipped strawberries, blueberris and green grapes are on this cake.
