dark chocolate cake with fresh strawberry cream on top. cream cheese almond pound with lemon cream cheese on bottom. Covered in MMF with gumpaste baby booties on top. Put a little too much filling on the top layers and had trouble with it wanting to slide around a little causing the MMF to scrunch some.
11 year old boy wanted a confederate cannon cake. I used pirouette cookies to create the fort and floored it in brown mmf. I made the soldiers out of gumpaste and then dug through my five year olds toy chest at 3 am desperately searching a canon. BINGO! It even fired cannon balls. Unfortunately, if he ever see the picture I am in big trouble.

this is my version of the cake from Carol Deacon. it is in the two hour party cakes book but it didn't take me nearly that long! i simplified it by using only one bunny and instead of mmf carrots i used candy carrot mold i had to add white orange chocolate carrots. funny enough, carrot cake underneath!
single layer round cake with half a ball circle on each. covered in buttercream with mmf ears.
my very first buttercream transfer. man! someone should have told me it was so easy!! Oh my goodness. Just outline and freeze. I didn't even use starts I just used regular old buttercream and a tip 3 or 5 depending on the size of the space and colored in like with a crayon. very cool.

never really made flowers before. most of my cakes are more 3-d or roses. turns out making the flowers isn't so hard - but figuring out how to place them on the cake is much harder for me.
saw a similar picture on this site. all mmf. lots of fun. used candy mold to make the chocolate happy birthday plaque.
3 8" rounds on top of a 10 inch square. all covered in buttercream. shaved the top of the rounds to make more of a shark head shape. cut out the center of the top round in a triangular, deep pattern then filled with red to make it a 3-d mouth opening. fondant teeth.
