the separator plates with this set were WAY larger than I needed so I put a trim and turn plate underneath the base separator plate and then used the carousel horses as a cake stand instead of as separator plates. Putting it on the trim and turn meant it could be turned around like a carousel

i don't ever make these becaue it looked like it would be a pain. Actually, i used the Wilton rolled cookie recipe in the magazine and it was great. The taste was great and the cookies didn't spread out all over the edges of the pan. instead of using cookie icing I just used a matching cookie cuter and cut out color mmf and stuck it on the cookies to decorate. very fast, pretty and tasty

NEVER AGAIN!! It took me 4.5 hours to get this cake right. I was really tired and shouldn't have saved it for last. didn't have the right pan so I was free handing it. It took FOREVER! I was cursing all night. I have made wedding cakes that were easier on me than this for some reason!!
