Lots and Lots of Swirls
This one was fun. I used lots of candy melts, MMF and edible images on buttercream. Thanks to anyone that has one similar to this in the gallery. I think I have seen it here but apologize for not remember the person's name.
I didn't ask too many questions when this order came in. I made it with candy melt transfers on pink buttercream.
The bride's colors are brown and sage green. Not sure if I got the sage green the right shade but she was happy.
I am sure I owe credit to someone for this one however, the customer found the image and wanted one just like it.
I have to give credit to everyone at CC that has done this cake and especially to the original designer. They were fun to make and the customer LOVED them!
No, this is not for a belated Halloween but for a young lady's birthday. Evidently she likes creepy things. The top tier is krispy treat because the birthday girl doesn't like cake!?!?! The snake is MMF and the beetles are chocolate dipped almonds.

Golf ball was made of rice krispy treats and covered with MMF. Tees and golf club were also MMF.
This is suppose to be Dexter for a Mad Scientist Party. The head is rice krispy treats covered with MMF and the cake is frosted with BC.
I was totally inspired by Kaye Hansen and Liv Hansen, authors of The Whimsical Bake House. I haven't perfected the technique but sure had fun teaching myself on this one.
This is my first attempt at a MMF covered cake. All I have to say is thank goodness for ivy!!! It hides a lot of mistakes! This was a 4 tier cake with an edible image.
If you can believe it, I wasn't able to find a wedding cake shaped cookie cutter anywhere in San Antonio! I made a template and hand cut all of the cookies. They are very large (6 inches tall). I used Duff's technique for the little flowers.
The couple are both movie buffs and the Groom chose the images from some of his favorite old movies to be placed on the film. The shine from the silver luster dust left the reels looking uneven in color in the pictures. This one was fun.
The Bride chose to use her Grandmother's topper which didn't really match the cake but was very touching.
A Mother ordered a "Funky French" cake for her Daughter's 18th birthday.
This cake is covered with BC with a MMF lily pad for Tinker Bell.
This was ordered for a 50th Birthday but thought it would be good for Christmas.
This cake was covered with BC. The rocket ship, butterflies, catapiller and bee were made of MMF. The characters were edible images. The little trees had individually piped leaves.
A customer chose this design. They were both Texas A&M Aggies and wanted maroon poppies and ribbon on the cake. It was a surprise 30th birthday cake for his wife.
My customer requested chocolate chip with a barnyard character on each about the size of a quarter. I made the characters using MMF and placed them on the warm cookies just out of the oven.
Whew! I am glad this one is done. I have been making teeny weeny animals for days. This thing weighs so much I had to put a particle board base on it. It just kept growing.
I was totally inspired by Cambo on this cake. I showed the image of hers to my customer and she had to have it. Thanks to Cambo for giving the pan sizes in her description. It made it so easy. I am sure I will be getting more orders for this one! I didn't have the 5 inch pan so I used the smallest oval, a 6 inch pan for the head and 2-4 inch pans for the ears. Thanks again Cambo.
This cake was totally inspired by Earlene's Cakes. With her instructions in hand I was able to tie the groom's 3 careers into one cake (perimedic, fireman and policeman). I was totally happy with the results. Scattered around the fall leaves were chocolate pieces of different items he might use while on duty.
