I used images of real hibiscus printed on wafer paper to make the flowers. The butterflies are images of real butterflies. I cut my own stencils to reflect the ones on the napkins (Luau theme) and stenciled on the background and leaves.

These cakes were ordered by a bride in Chicago for a destination wedding here in San Antonio. She provided hand drawings and images of a cameo necklace and her wedding gown that she wanted the cakes to be patterned from. These cakes have a total of 1,061 dragees with each placed using tweezers and glued on with piping gel. This was my first attempt at Cornelli Lace.
I have to admit this may be ranked with my favorites. It was totally fun to make. The bandanna on top is a frosting sheet and the hat was sculpted with MMF. I am not that good at sculpting but sure enjoyed giving it a try.
Whew! I made 50 of these for a Baptism package with a cake. My arm and shoulder felt each and every one of the squeezes of the bag filled with thick royal icing.
I filled an order for a Baptism Cake and Favor Cookies for 50. I have to say this cake was one of the hardest because of all the corners but also the most rewarding because of what it was for.

The Aunt sent an image of an Easter Basket that she wanted exactly like it on the cake. This is what I came up with.
This took so long I will never do one again. The baby crib even has the sheet and bed skirt and the blanket was made with frosting sheets. It was a big hit but I needed rest after this one.
