Edible Transfer Chocolate Cake
This transfer was made from two poor quality photos that a customer brought to me and requested that they be on a birthday cake. Since he wanted the transfer on a chocolate cake that was covered in dark chocolate ganache, I made the cake with his specifications but placed a small "window" of white buttercream on top of the ganache before putting the transfer on the cake. The transfer showed up clearly on the dark background. Since the buttercream was so minimal, it did not detour from the chocolate.

3 Tier Square Fondant Wedding Cake
This 3 tier square wedding cake was designed after the bride saw a cake on this website that she asked me to incorporate the lines into her wedding cake. This wedding cake consisted of a 6", 10" and a 14" square cake. They are covered in white chocolate ChocoPan Fondant. I covered the cake tops and sides with a size #3 tip/triple dot design, used satin ribbons on the base of each tier and used fresh flowers on top of the cakes that were enclosed in water-filled flower spikes for freshness.

Don's 50Th Birthday
A friend asked me to create a special chocolate/fudge cake for her fiance's 50th birthday. I created this square cake filled with mocha/chocolate mousse, iced the cake with a dark mocha fudge ganache and then finally coated it with ChocoPan fondant. The leaves, roses, butterfly and placque were formed out of gumpaste

Alyssa's 16Th Birthday
This is a 22" x 15" sheet cake that consisted of yellow pound cake with chocolate/mocha mousse filling and buttercream icing. The star cake consisted of the same components. I made the stars, moons and banner out of a fondant/gumpaste materials. I created the shimmering, silver moons after reading a CC forum topic on how to achieve a bright metallic looking gold finish and just transferred the idea to silver. I have learned so much on this site from tips and suggestions from others. Thank you.

Guess Who's Having A Baby?
Dear friends of ours announced to us, before announcing to their other friends and family, that they were expecting their first child . . . a baby boy! Since they told us that they planned to inform the family the next day at a family birthday party that they were expecting, I made this cake to help enforce their announcement at the family get together. What a shock that was!

Wilton Course 3 Final Wedding Cake
I made the flowers for this wedding cake with royal icing at home. In fact, I hoped I'd never see another pansy ever again. The cake tured out satisfactory, though. The craziest part, though, of doing such a big cake was what to do with it afterward! That's alot of cake!

Employee's Last Week Of Work
Our local school district is down-sizing staff due to budget problems. Today there will be a lunch in honor of one of the administrative assistants that will be leaving. When I was asked to make her cake, I came up with the idea of the attached cake. I composed and made the edible transfer and cake, while my husband tempered some chocolate and made the stand-up turkeys.

11" X 15" Sheet Cake For My Boss
I made the legal size (7 1/2" x 13") transfer for the top of this cake. Since I needed a really good airplane photo, I went to a website that had copyrighted pictures that allowed me to pay for the one-time use of the photo. Since this cake was presented at a gathering of dignitaries at San Francisco International Airport, I did not want to take the chance of using a photo of someone's elses without getting the copywriter's permission. I avoided the possibility of a mess if the photographer was there.

Little Girl's Baptism Reception Cake
Since the little girl that was being honored was a baby, I made the small 6" cake for her to be able to touch and enjoy while her guests enjoyed the larger cake. On both cakes, I created edible transfers that incorporated the art from the napkins and table cloth and placed the little girl's adorable face in the center.

Baseball Glove For A 13 Year Old
I made this chocolate fudge cake for a 13 year old girl's birthday. She is very active on a softball team at school. It was great to see her face when I presented it to her. At her party, she let her guests eat the square bottom cake and she saved the glove to munch on the rest of the week. The cake was covered with white chocolate fondant that I tinted brown and brushed on some petal dust after I had made it. Thanks to Earlean Moore's site for the instructions on how to accomplish this.

Jim & Jaynes Wedding Cake
The 3 tier white/ivory fondant cakes were adorned with handmade fondant pearls, flowers and leaves. Surrounding the cake were white chocolate lollypops with edible transfers of the couple's wedding photos, which were taken during/after their Las Vegas wedding. It was fun handmaking all the decorations and edible transfers for this special occasion for our friends.

My First Bat Mitzvah Cake
A father contacted me to do his daughter's Bat Mitzvah cake. Not being Jewish I explained the cake would not be kosher. Being a person grounded in God, though, I did understand what a blessed event this is in a young person's life before God. The girl's father requested a cake with clowns and a circus theme. In reverence to the occasion, the father and I came to a more mutually agreed theme. Candles with foil "skirts" were placed on the top to accommodate the ceremonial lighting & prayers of dedication.
