Three Tier Wedding Cake_Blue Flowers
I created this cake out of ChocoPan Fondant. The pearls I created over the last couple of weeks out of the same fondant and dusted them with luster dust. Would you believe, this cake took almost 1,400 pearls! All the flowers and leaves were gumpaste. The groom's family asked me to add the blue silk rose petals.

Cupcakes In Honor Of My Boss' 20 Year Of Service As Sr Planner
My husband and I worked on fondant/gumpaste roses and iced over 60 cupcakes in honor of my boss' achievement of 20 years of service at the San Mateo County Office. We made four different types of cupcakes for the event. The roses were fashioned after the Duff style of rose making.

Fondant Wedding Consultation Cake
A fudge cake with a light chocolate mousse filling and semi sweet/milk chocolate ganache icing under white chocolate fondant. I made this for a bride that is having a theme of off white, light green, and bright pink/light pink decorations. Since she had not seen a square cake in person, eaten fondant, nor had she ever seen a gumpaste flower or handled one, I wanted to expose her to all those elements in a sampler. This was a positive experience for the bride to be and her mother.

Industrial-Type Toilet Cake
My husband and I made this industrial toilet cake for the retiring plumber of a nearby school district. I carved and decorated the toilet cake; however, I enlisted the help of my husband in accomplishing this cake, He created the lid and toilet seat cover out of a light wood. Then he even made the surrounding tool box, tools and plumbers pipe fitting out of white chocolate which he colored with luster dust and Everclear. Big thanks to SLK (Stacey Krieg) for her instructions on her wonderful toilet cake.

Baby Carriage With Wheels
View of baby carriage's lower suspension over cake to permit free rotating wheels. The expectant mother requested a German chocolate cake. I was able to give her that in the bottom 12" square cake. The top baby carriage was also German chocolate with the typical coconut/pecan/condensed milk filling and a buttercream icing.

Chocolate Nurse Graduation Cake
I made the edible transfer on the top of the cake with an edited photo of our grand daughter. Originally the photo had her and her husband in it. The assorted medical related items were made by my husband with white chocolate and he detailed each piece with food color pens. We were really happy with this cake because it was truly a joint effort for my husband's grand daughter. She was so pleased.

Nurse Graduation Cake
I was inspired by Khym's beautiful graduation cake, so when my husband's grand daughter had her graduation reception this weekend I made her this graduation cake. The pocket was formed out of an edible transfer placed over a replicated fondant pocket. Pocket contained medical related instruments that my husband made out of white chocolate and detailed each piece. The cakes body was done in buttercream. (Views of cake on all four sides.)

Mother's Day Cake
A very charming young woman came to me one day and told me that she had never had a really nice cake made for just her. She had her two little girls with her when she told me this. So, I decided to make her this special cake to honor her for her birthday. It was so nice to see how happy she was when I gave this to her.

Guittard Chocolate Contest Cheesecake
I made this cheesecake out of Guittard's chocolate and Kahlua. Using the chocolate covered roasted coffee beans and simple Kahlua dark chocolate ganache to decorate the cake brought the attention that I had hoped for . . . a blue ribbon, money from Guittard and a huge box of Guittard baking and eating chocolates!

Cake For A Retiring High School District Superintendent
I created this cake for a school district Superintendent. I used pretzels for the fence, hand formed marzipan snowmen, and pine trees (made out of frosted upside down ice cream cones). After creating a snow effect with buttercream, I topped the cake off with a little snow skied moose and a small sled on the iced pond. The moose and the sled were kept by the retiring school official.

Survivor Cake
After a long year of hard work in a large public school district, I created this cake with the names of all our hard workers in the Ed Service and Student Services Department. The staff got a kick out of seeing their names listed on this cake, which congratulated them for all their hard work.

Red Valentine Cake
I was a little surprised when a middle age man came to me and asked me to make his girl friend a real eye catching RED cake for Valentine's Day. I had never done an all-red cake and had my doubts that it would really look very good; however, I have to admit when I finished this order it really looked quite nice. The man that ordered it was thrilled with the end product and his lady loved it so much that she showed all her friends.

Wedding Cake Fondant Sampler
This cake was for a wedding consultation. I used this 6" taster cake for a wedding consultation. I textured the fondant surface and made very simple fondant flowers, and decorations in dark chocolate semi sweet flavored ChocoPan Fondant. The white icing is one of ChocoPan's wedding white chocolate fondants. This was one of 3 different cakes that I presented for this wedding consultation. Only one cake is covered in fondant so that the couple can see and taste the differences.

Black And White Edible Photo Collage Cake
I made a collage of black and white photos for a 1/2 sheet cake for a customer's husband. The photos were varied in quality and colors of black and white. A solution to this problem was to tweak the collage into a sepia tone. The cake was all chocolate; however, after the chocolate ganache icing hardened I put a thin window of white butter cream over the top surface and then laid the edible transfer that I had created. I was requested not to use any flowers/leaves on the cake - only geometric shapes!

Fondant Wedding Cake Sampler
When I arrange to have a wedding consultation, I ask the bride/groom what type cakes they are interested in. Typically the couple ask about what does a fondant cakes taste like. I used this 6" taster cake for a wedding consultation. I textured the fondant surface and made a very simple fondant rose and fondant leaves on the top and fondant daisy type flowers on the sides for the couple to taste and feel. Their desired cake was a deep fudge with a mocha mousse filling.

Tammy's Wedding Cake
This was my first attempt at making gumpaste flowers and leaves, and integrating them with a buttercream iced wedding cake. The wedding couple requested the Wilton love birds for a topper and they asked me to please include a fresh iris on the cake. The center cake and the bottom cake both had the fresh iris flowers included in the center of the top of each of those cakes.

One Cake For Numerous People's Birthday
This was my solution of wishing "Happy Birthday" to numerous members in a family that wanted to celebrate several family member's birthdays in a two-month period. The fudge cake was iced with Kahlua ganache and Pepperidge Farm Pirouette Chocolate Hazelnut cookie rolls. I have to admit this is a quick way to decorate a cake!

Edible Image Cake With Whipped Cream And Fresh Fruit
I delivered this cake on Thanksgiving day to a customer that wanted a white cake filled with fresh strawberries/bananas inside the cake and whipped cream icing on the outside. She also wanted strawberries to decorate the cake. The one problem I needed to solve, though, was in having the edible transfer sitting on top of a buttercream icing. I solved the problem by icing the top of the cake with buttercream and the sides and borders with stabilized whipped cream and strawberry decorations.
