Purse Cake
I made this for a friends daughter's birthday. Someone had given a picture of a similar cake to my friend and she asked if I could make one like it. It was a 2 layer 8" square cake filled w/buttercream and covered w/fondant. You can't tell from the picture but it was cut at an angle and tapered at the top. The birthday girl loved it!

Bushel Crab Basket
I made this for a birthday party at my house this weekend. We ate crabs. I made crab shaped sugar cookies but took the picture before putting them in the basket. Cake was strawberry torted and filled with cream cheese icing (my husband's favorite) lightly sprayed with red color and fondant wood slats.

Cheer Up Cake My 8 Yr Old Son Made For His Teacher.
My son made this for his teacher who had just lost her grandfather and then got hit head on in an auto accident. He helped with the fondant (Satin Ice) and used edible markers to draw the pictures. He picked out the flowers from my "collection" that I keep on hand. She loved it!

Truck Nuts
This was made for a friend that another friend had played a practical joke on - hanging these on his truck. This friend had requested that I make him a hot milk cake ~ which I did ~ he didn't specify what to decorate it with. I used a chocolate transfer and whipped icing with chocolate rocks. It was a hit!

Trinket Box
This was for two co-workers celebrating birthdays together. I put a chocolate "P" on one side and an "L" on the other for their initials. I took the pictures before I put the fondant butterflies on the flowers... It was a yellow cake with buttercream and fondant (what the birthday girls requested)

Valentine
I did this for the YMCA where my son goes for before and after school care. Everyone sends stuff in to the class rooms but never to the "Y". I made this from a picture they had on the bulletin board. This is the cake I was going to use the glaze on when it didn't turn out so I just used the outlines. They didn't seem to mind. My son picked out strawberry cake for this one.

Birthday/congratulations
A co-worker had me make this for someone that was celebrating a milestone birthday but didn't want a cake for his birthday. He did however want everyone to know that over the last year he had walked/run 1 mile every day. I put the 365 miles in 365 days around the cake sides along with the royal icing runners and decorated the top for his hobby - country line dancing.

Bushel Of Crabs
This cake won the Governor's cake class at the State Fair. My family and I got to me the Governor because of this one! Layered white cake with buttercream. Sprayed wilton coloring under the fondant slats. Slats brushed with cocoa powder for coloring. Crabs were molded fondant sprayed with wilton coloring. The cake had to be in the theme of Maryland and of course "Maryland is for Crabs!" Please ignore the other cakes in the photo, they are not mine
