My father is always getting hurt (broken shoulder, broken ankle, stitches, etc) so this was the perfect cake to suit him for his birthday this year. He got a good laugh out of it and my daughter LOVED it (since she always watches the show). I had a little trouble with my airbrush (as you can tell) but other than that I was really pleased with it. TFL!!
My brothers girlfriend is a purse fanatic and she LOVES the color pink...so I made this cake for her 21st birthday last year. The cake was a margarita cake (going with the whole 21st birthday theme)...she loved it and that made me so happy! I think the zipper was my favorite part.
I made this cake for my brother's birthday last year. He is a typical "couch potato"...video games, movies, snacks, etc. He loved it. It didn't come out as neat as I had hoped but I had trouble with the RKT couch and potato.
I made this cake for my four year old daughter's best friend's birthday. The cake was chocolate and the towers are strawberry cupcakes baked into ice cream cones. All covered in MMF with MMF decoratios and airbrushed with luster dust for that sparkly fairytale look. Both my daughter and her friend loved the cake!

I had to make a really special cake for my mom's birthday so I tried to incorporate as many of the things she loves into one cake. She collects elephants, snowglobes & celestial stuff so I made the actual cake (the most delicious almond cake I have ever had) into a celestial sky, covered and decorated with mmf and airbrushed with luster dust.The clouds are balls of fondant covered with fondant and the snowglobe is a hollowed sugar mold.The elephants are fondant (my 3 yo made the little one)
I made this cake for my cousin's boyfriend who was leaving for school to study to be a pharmacist. Cake is half vanilla half chocolate and covered in fondant with fondant decorations. I had some trouble writing with the edible markers but other than that I was pretty happy with it.
This was for my friend's baby shower. She did not want anything fancy and did not find out what she was having so I went with a very basic design (even though I really wanted to go crazy with it!!) Bottom cake is French vanilla, top is chocolate. She also specifically asked for no edible babies on the cake so ai just made a simple fondant teddy bear as a topper. I wanted to make something special for my dad for father's day and since he is always working I thought one of these cakes would be appropriate! The cake is a mango cake with a filling of fresh whipped cream and strawberry pie filling, covered in strawberry bc and fondant. I have been wanting to try a shirt and tie cake anyway so this was the perfect opportunity. I learned a lot what not to do for next time but everyone liked, especially my dad, so i was happy!!
This cake did not come out as well as I had hoped. It was for a couple for their anniversary. The husband wanted to get his wife the same cake that they had at their wedding: Chocolate bourbon cake with peach mousse filling and covered in white chocolate ganache. It was important b/c it was the cake her parents had suggested and both passed away this year so he wanted to do something special for her. They were both very happy with the cake and I was horoned to be a part of their special day.
