This is a cake I made for my own birthday. I have four dachshunds and had been wanting to sculpt one. I had to use one of my doxies for a model! It was kind of hard to cut into it!
I made these for my son's Kindergarten Xmas party. Vanilla cupcakes with a spiral of buttercream on top. A circle of rolled buttercream covers the spiral and the details are done in buttercream.
Tiered cake done for a wedding cake class held in October. The instructor said we could use any theme we want and since I am a Peanuts freak I just couldn't resist. This cake was so much fun!
Wilton inspired design using gumpaste for the bow and fondant for the side ribbons. I tried using fondant for the bow but it is so humid where I live that the loops kept collapsing.
I did this cake for my dad's birthday. I used rolled buttercream and airbrushed it purple. The bow and squiggles were made out of gumpaste. The ribbons were made out of fondant. Both gumpaste and fondant were colored gold using luster dust. I used a stencil for the side design and painted on with vodka and luster dust.
Petal shaped pan with basketweave sides. Snoopy was made out of melted candy using a cookie cutter.
Two carrot cakes baked in soccer ball pan. Iced with cream cheese icing and covered with Satin Ice. I used Wilton's small rolling pin to make the indentions. Airbrushed the cake with pearl dust and writing was freehand in cream cheese icing.
