Heart Birthday Cake
I just finished this cake for a co-workers Birthday tomorrow. This is my first fondant bow. Thanks to everyone who answered my cry for help and a special thanks to Tiggy2 for suggesting using wet fondant in the center to hold the bow together. Also thanks to Boween. I used a picture of one of her cakes as a sample for the bow. Feel free to critique! I am very open to constructive criticism. Thanks for looking.

Halloween Cake
I put this together quickly this afternoon. I needed something for work tomorrow and happened to have 2 6" layers in the freezer. The witch I make a couple of weeks ago. I was going to make a broom for her, but never got around to it, so I'm just going to get a piece of candy corn and put in her hands.

Boss's Day
I am extremely disappointed, but decided to post anyhow. I'm satisfied with the topper, but hate the cake. I prefer bc icing that is mostly butter and know that I can't get it perfectly smooth, but this cake is a mess. I could have done more to try to improve it, but I've given up. Oh well, it's the thought that counts. I know it will taste good. Almond cake with strawberry bc filling, and bc icing.

Lauren's Birthday Cake
I had previously posted this picture in Feb. but it was too small to be able to see the detail. I have tried resizing it. The cake was made for my neice's birthday. She belongs to the Junior Vol. Fire Dept. in her town. This was my first stacked cake. The cake was iced in buttercream. Figures are fondant and gumpaste.

Maxine Birthday Cake
This cake is very similar to another Maxine cake I posted earlier this week. I made 2 chocolate transfers in case one broke, and since they both survived, I decided to make 2 cakes. The first one was just a cake to take to work and the one I was actually making the transfers for is this birthday cake for a friend.

Maxine
This is a cake I made for work. It is a lemon cake with IMBC and a chocolate transfer. I look for any excuse to practice decorating! My writing leaves alot to be desired, but it's starting to improve slightly! I have a co-worker that must say the word stupid at least 25 times a day and I thought this would be fun.

This was my first square cake. I need practice on getting my corners sharp. The cake is iced in IMBC with fondant accentes. I seem to have more trouble getting IMBC smooth than I do BC. I know it takes practice. I've read all of the helpful hints on CC and have tried everything, but can't seem to master smooth icing. I'm hoping it will get better with time.
