How do you keep it looking sooo nice?? Do you stick it back in the frig between color changes, or what? What consistency are you piping? I am just loaded with questions so I can do this one!
How do you make your buttercream with butter and shortening?
No, I didn't put it in the fridge in between, though you certainly could. The frosting I used is a fairly soft, smooth one, consistency-wise. I'm happy to answer any questions! The best way to get a quick answer is to message me on my FB page: www.facebook.com/saraelizabethcakesandsweets :)
You can take any buttercream recipe you like, and switch out some of the butter for shortening. Or vice versa. :)
I forgot to answer your first question! To keep it looking nice, the key is using a smooth, uniform movement, while using your horizontal guidelines to keep you on track. It's a very small movement, made with my right hand (my piping hand), while my left hand is slowly and steadily turning the turntable. Hope that helps!
gorgeous cake. I am looking for a recipe of whipped buttercream I use to buy it but prefer to make it its lighter then buttercream and less sweet.
Thanks for the tutorial! I tried it this weekend and I couldn't believe how quick, easy, and elegant it was. Appreciate your willingness to share!
This cake looks delicious, and I'll ask my wife if she can bake this soon. I think the tutorial here is https://www.analyzedu.com/ great, and if she follows this baking recipe exactly, we'll get a good cake.
