What Do You Think Of The Wedding Dress

AI personally don't like it, it's too "busy". Looks more like a prom dress, but as an inspiration for a cake- the cake itself would be beautiful.
the angle of the photograph and the way she is standing is making it seem more out of proportion than it might really be--it's a very over the top dress--to say it more accurately 'it's a very over the hips' dress --too wide from the waist down--the workmanship, luxury fabric, lace, embroidery, cascading florals and beautiful design is all there--but i need a different view before i buy ;)
she's ten feet wide at the hem
AI don't like it. It's too vulgar for my taste. Good thing that we all have different taste!
That's quite a dress. Why did you post the photo? Just curious, since this is a cake forum and you are a very new member.
AI was just looking at this dress the other day, same online pic. I think it's lovely but I didn't care for the roses, or the straps which are also covered in roses.
Is this inspiration for a cake?
Are you planning on making a cake like this? why did you post it?
It's too busy for my taste- way too many things going on at once..and those roses have to go. JMO!
Still puzzled, I get why a major patisserie would make something like that as an advertisement of what they can do, but why would an everyday person (not meaning that in a derogatory sense) take on something like that. The other wedding dress cakes would have been made by a team of experienced bakers and decorators. Not a fan of the roses either and the photo is taken from a weird angle.
I find it a bit irritating that the OP posts a question to start a thread that provokes more questions and doesn't participate in her own thread!
yes, jeanne, not only that i know mimi figured out the mystery but din tell me the answer...
op posted to inspire herself? or something
I think it's a bride who may have posted on the wrong forum or thought she was "pinning" the dress. On the right person the dress would be beautiful. Not my style, I like princessy dresses but that's too princessy for me.
A
Well, as a person who got married in jeans and a lace knit sweater that I made myself. I'm not interested.
no frou frou in my veins. I wanted a big house that would last a hundred years, more than a one time only dress.
