I rarely bake cakes myself. I usually get plain sponge cake from a local bakery and decorate them coz I can't bake a surprise for my wife without leaving a mess in her kitchen. I once woke up at 2.00AM to make her a Valentine's day cake.

Her last BD cake was ordered from a very famous local bakery, which screwed up the whole cake. Wrong colors and even flavor!! not to mention that it's 18$ per serving!!

I'm really confused about what design to make. Boobs cake or a regular cake with flowers.

Most women love flower cakes.  If you decide to make your own cake, you should clean up the kitchen as you are preparing. While cake is cooking, clean up your bowls that you mixed cake in. Once you are cooling your cakes, clean up cake pans and then make frosting and or decorations then clean up as you go. You will feel better about having a clean kitchen near the end of putting your cake decorations on the cake. Hang in there, I know you can do it!!!!! Your wife will be happy that her kitchen is clean plus a beautiful cake made by your own hands!!!!  Never leave the kitchen a mess for your wife to have to clean up, especially on her birthday!!!!!

ABoob cakes are for hen dos and 21 year old boys birthdays when they have families that have a strange idea of boundaries. My general rule on anatomical cake is if it doesn't have a face, then unless it is a zombie arm Halloween cake, it should not be made. It is in the same category as those baby bump with large feet pushing on headless mum's uterus cakes. Bizarre. I gave in and made a fifty shades of grey cake once, it upset me doing it. But at least he had a face and he was clothed and the focus was hopefully not his erogenous zones. Flowers all the way my friend. I like the way you got up at 2 am to make a cake without your wife knowing. I like that you are planning for her birthday. I like that you are worried about uncontrollable mess that might be a pain for her (even though you should probably just learn how to use the dishwasher ha ha ha). You clearly love her and are very thoughtful. Don't ruin it with a boob cake!!!!!!!!

AUnless you're giving her some actual boobs for her birthday, don't do the boob cake.

Now obviously you know your wife better than any of us and maybe you know for certain that she would like it. We're just saying that if you're not sure, don't do it. And definitely clean up after yourself - in fact that might be the best gift right there.

For the record, the bra for her birthday gift is a bad idea too.  Get her some freaking jewelry.

"It is a cellular peptide cake. With mint frosting."

And wasn't there just something on the Cake Central home page, a picture of a "boob/torso cake" decorated as Wonder Woman's torso, made for a daughter's 12th birthday (both the mother and the daughter are big superhero fans) Oh, yes, here it is: http://cakecentral.com/g/a/3426481/wonder-woman/
