Does anyone know of any tutorials for the cat, the fish and thing 1 and thing 2?  I can't find any cake toppers for these so it looks like I will have to make my own.

I plan to make a smash cake that looks like water with the fish jumping out of it. Lots of pictures of this cake on the net.  I then plan to make another cake/cupcakes that I found a picture of.  It would be two layer topsy turvy with the cat sitting on the edge of one.  Then to sit Thing 1 and Thing 2 on the edge of a plate of cupcakes and then set a small fish on the bottom plate of the cupcakes.  This would be stacked with two layers of cup cakes and the cake on top.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hope

I didn't ask the question, but I would be interested. icon_smile.gif

I just was perusing your site.  I really like it.  Love all the large pics.  The antique veil cake is very special.

Well, aren't you sweet!  Thank you so much for the compliments.  Oh she was a precious bride.  The veil was amazing in person.  One of my favorite cakes.

DD, I saw on your site the Dr. Suess characters were hand sculpted.  Did you just work from pictures?

ANot only is he one of my heros, my son shares a birthday with Dr. Seuss. Of course, we have all the books & Jacobs room is decorated with all the characters.

I gathered about 10 different pictures of each character so I could see multiple sides.

I'm often asked how much that cake costs...One Billion dollars! Took 2 weeks to sculpt all those guys.

That's great!  My kids had all the books too.  I loved reading them when they were young.  I volunteered a lot when they were in elementary school and was often asked to read the Dr. Seuss books.  Reading them with enthusiasm was also a big kindergarten hit.
