Oh no - somebody crashed the party hahahahahahaa
I know when I'm not wanted...and that's when I'm needed the most.

Uh, yeah...
Needed? Why? Does someone need something Googled? ;-)
Perhaps you missed the memo...making fun of people for researching answers and providing links to sources with more information went out of style in 2011. :detective:
A2011? Did you Google that? :-)
Who said I was making fun of you? You just confirmed that's what you do. You are our resident search engine concierge!
You probably flagged me for that too, right?

Nope, 2011 is when most of the trolls left the site (or were banned), discourse here has improved quite a bit since then.
You are our resident search engine concierge!
I do happen to be quite skilled at using search engines. It's not as trivial as you think.
You probably flagged me for that too, right?
I only flag posts that are spam or offensive. Inane posts are neither.
ATrolls? I know of two wonderful members who were actually knowledgeable about the cake industry and answered questions from experience and not a search engine who were banned without warning because you pushed their buttons to the point that they fired back. But who's the troll?
AAlright....
There are many wonderful, seasoned personalities that make CC what it is.
Of course, some people will think more of the advice of more popular posters. I'm taking advice from posters I trust over contradicting answers from a poster I've never seen.
As for My heros : Godot, Shanter, Costumeczar, Anna, Leah,...oh such a long list...but I think most people would call bS even on the favorites if needed. Oh & I like Jason too. He serves a very practical & useful purpose!
AOh, I'm done. I have no intention of getting banned for sparring with Captain Google.

As long as you steer clear of offensive posts and personal attacks, you have nothing to fear from Captain Google.

False dichotomy. Using search engines to supplement your knowledge base does not necessarily mean that you have no preexisting domain knowledge.
It's unfortunate that a well-reasoned debate focusing on the issue at hand can push people's buttons, there's really not much I can do about that.
As for My heros : Godot, Shanter, Costumeczar, Anna, Leah,...oh such a long list...............
Sniff. I'm touched.
I do try to help. And among those who know me, I am the Google queen ("she can find anything on the web") and I often post a reply to a post asking "where do I get______" with the Google search results. It seems like something so easy to try first.
Other than that, I'm not sure what's going on in the posts on this page........
Perhaps you missed the memo...making fun of people for researching answers and providing links to sources with more information went out of style in 2011.
I don't get this. As I said, I often post "answers" that are Google searches and nobody ever made fun of me (to my knowledge) and I was here before 2011.
Oh well. I guess I don't really want to understand this.
I think I will back out of this thread, as I have countless other times, because of a certain poster who sucks the fun out of everything. Onward and upward! Bleh... Fun while it lasted.
And all those people you mentioned, DD, are people I stalk to see what I missed while I was gone ;-) other than myself of course And I stalk you, too DD ;-) I got much love for you ;-)

I don't really understand it either, the first time I noticed people were making fun of me for doing research and posting sources when answering questions I thought I had somehow entered a bizarro world, where people trying to be helpful are attacked and personal attacks are applauded. It turned out to just be a tiny but vocal group of bullies (with a strange idea of what "fun" is), most either left or toned things down significantly once people started defending themselves. The increased presence of moderators probably helped.
Hey my cake friends, I've been gone from CC for a minute and now I'm back...I missed you you guys.
Please tell my all that I've missed out on...new trends and techniques, new toys and tools (I've seen the silicone onlays by Marvelous Molds they're awesome!) new recipes etc. The site has changed so I'm working my way through slowly trying to catch up; have they added a dessert table section yet. Please share pictures and links for all that I have to catch up on. TIA!
Greetings yummy, was your question answered?

No, because ALL the photos and links of everything that they missed in the indeterminate amount of time referred to as "a minute" they were gone were never posted.
I stand by my "um" and accept the additional "seriously".
AOh my! I forgot FromScratch on there. See, I said the list was so many.
Shanter, not only for your help but mostly for your humor!
And, even Jason is on my go to list. He has vast business knowledge. Although very serious, he occasionally busts out with some good humor moments.

Did you just quote Nanny McPhee?
Max Lewis from Newsradio: http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0025912/quotes
Nanny McPhee's quote is "When you need me but do not want me, then I’ll stay. When you want me but no longer need me, then I have to go".
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA! I am ignoring the "news radio post" after this one, and from now on, in my head, Jason quoted Nanny McPhee, LMAO!!!
BTW, I thought that movie was terrible, my husband and I necked like teenagers through the last half of it, we were so bored.

Perhaps the Nanny McPhee quote is more appropriate after all...as soon as the last person who doesn't want me here leaves or is banned from CC, then I will leave too, but not a moment before. ;)
Awwww, I love that movie! I wasn't making fun of him, I just recognized (or thought I did) that quote.

Whoever wouldn't want you here Jason? You are most welcome by everyone I know.

Maybe you can't see the forest since you are standing in all the trees?
