ACan anyone tell me the differences of those nozzles? I have been searching it for 2 days and couldnt find comprehensive info :(
1B and 2D are very similar, both closed star tips, the 1B is slightly bigger, the 1M is an open star.
Easier to just show pictures than try and explain it :)
This link shows examples of the 1M and 1B...

Really the only difference is the tightness of the star, 1B and 2D will give you more frill if you're piping a swirl onto a cupcake.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the reference photos you posted!! Thanks!!
I have the 1M and 2D. I have found that they look very similar, but to me the 2D uses less icing. Still plenty to eat and enjoy, but it goes farther when piping.
AThank you all for the great answers. Could you tell me which nozzle was used to pipe that?
