Hey folks. I had some spare time tonight, and so rarely do computer programming and cake decorating cross paths, I had to whip this up:

http://shinymetalobjects.net/cake/calculator/cake_calculator_byVolume.cgi

This is a quick calculator to determine the number of servings in your cakes strictly by volume. This is only for easy volume calculations. I'm not really prepared to determine the volume of a heart or petal shaped pan!!!

If you want to calculate your servings based on the Wilton charts, my original cake calculator is still here:

http://shinymetalobjects.net/cake/calculator/cake_calculator.cgi

I really hope this can help people. Please let me know if I goofed and/or my math is wrong!

Should look something like this:

This is awesome thanks. icon_biggrin.gif I think I will print it out and write the numbers down next to each size so I can quickly check what size pan I need.

alleycat 1, all you have to do is right click the above link and select "copy shortcut". Then minimize the cake central page, and right click on your desktop and select "paste shortcut". I hope that makes sense.
