Hi Cakers.....
I have melted some Wilton candy melts. I currently have a lot of leftovers. I really hate to throw it out. I have the left overs in a glass cup covered about 3 times with Glad Press and Seal. Can I reuse this in about 3 or 4 days??
Thanks for the help!!!
Michael
Happy Caking.....=)
I don't see why not, just keep them dry as always. The way you have it wrapped seems like plenty of care!
I put some in a disp decorating bag and melted. After, I stored it in a ziplock bag. When I needed to use it again, I just reheated in the dec bag, then kneaded it smooth. Now it's back in cool storage again!
I reuse mine all the time. I usually pour them out onto a piece of waxed paper in a disc, then store it in an airtight container when hard, this way it is thinner and quicker to remelt when needed.
I like your idea Moranda. To think I always threw it away. Should have asked you guys.
Linda
Yes ! No sense in wasting, I usually save up all my leftovers then mix them all together and melt to make candy clay.

Sure. I either just spread it out on a non stick mat - cool - and break it up into a airtight bag. If I have a lot left over (and am bored - lol) I pour it into a piping bag and pipe large dots, cool and into a resealable bag.
