Cream Puff Cake
I don’t remember where my mom got this recipe, but she makes it for every family get together. It is very popular in my family.
Cream Puff Cake
Ingredients
- Crust
1 c. water
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- ¼ t. salt
- 4 eggs
Filling
1 4.6 oz box Cook & Serve vanilla pudding
- 2-½ c. at least 2% milk
- ½ c. half & half
Topping
12 oz Cool Whip
- chocolate syrup (my mom uses Smuckers Magic Shell)
Instructions
- Crust
- Boil water and butter.
- Add flour and salt.
- Stir till dough forms a ball.
- Let cool slightly.
- Add eggs one at a time, beat after each one.
- Spread evenly in a 9×13 inch pan.
- Bake 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Let cool completely.
- Filling
- Follow directions on box.
- Let chill in fridge.
- Assemble
- Pudding on crust
- Cover with Cool Whip
- Decorate with chocolate syrup
- Serve
