Coconut Pecan Icing

I found this online after a CC user asked me what recipe I use. Although I haven’t tried this recipe yet it was on a well known website for recipes so I’m sure it’s good lol.

Coconut Pecan Icing


  • 1 C of evaporated milk
  • 1 C sugar
  • 3 beaten egg yolks
  • 1/2 C butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/3 C sweetened coconut
  • 1 C chopped pecans


  1. Mix all ingredients except coconut and pecans in a medium saucepan and cook over low heat until mixture thickens, about 10 – 12 minutes. Stir in coconut and pecans. Cool before frosting cake. Refrigerate until ready to eat.
