This is my favorite recipe of loaf bread. It has a wonderful taste. Give it a try!:):)
Chocolate glazed loaf bread
Ingredients
A) 3/4 cup butter (200g)
1 and 3/4 cup sugar (400g)
3 and 1/2 tablespoons cocoa (50g)
3/4 cup milk (200g)
B) 1 and 1/2 cup flour (350g)
3 eggs, separated, beat the egg whites stiff
1 tablespoon baking powder
a few drops of lemon juice
Instructions
Take all the ingredients from A) and put them in a sauce pan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Let it cool.( In a separate bowl put 7 tablespoons from this mixture. You’ll use this for the glaze.)
Stir in the main mixture the egg yolks, then add little at a time the flour and the stiff egg whites. Incorporate the baking powder in which you added a few drops of lemon juice. Transfer the mixture into floured pan or pans if you want to make 2 and put in the hot oven for about 30 minutes.
While reading through the recipesI noticed 1 tablespoon of baking powder for 1 1/2 cups flour. The maximum that amount of flour should take is 1 1/2 teaspoons based on 1 teaspoon baking powder per cup of flour.
The bigger problem is the 350 grams of flour stated after the 1 1/2 cup. 350 grams of flour equals 2 1/2 cups based on the standard 140 grams per cup of all purpose flour.
