My Recipe for shaped cake pans
Ingredients
- 500grams Butter
- 500grams natural caster sugar
- 500grams Self Raising Flour
- 8 Medium Eggs
- Pinch of Baking Powder
Instructions
- Allow Butter to reach room temerature (this may take a few hours)
- when soft place butter in Mixing bowl then add the Sugar
- Mix together until creamy
- Then add the eggs and seive the flower & Baking Powder into the bowl mixing gently making sure you do not mix too hard otherwise this will make the cake flat as it will knock out all the air.
- Cook on medium oven for approx 1 hour (may take longer depending on your oven)
- Leave to cool in the pan for approx 30 minutes to 1 hour and then turn out onto decorating surface and allow to cool before icing..
how many cups is 500grams
a quick google search came back with about 4-5 cups
