Jamaican Rum cake

A very easy rum cake thats super delicious

Jamaican Rum cake


  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 box vanilla pudding mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup dark rum
  • for the glaze

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark rum


  1. Mix all cake ingredients and beat with electric mixer for about 2 minutes until blended. Pour into a prepared bundt pan and bake at 325 degrees for about 50 mins.
  2. Cook glaze by melting butter in saucepan. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Add rum after sugar has completely dissolved.
  3. When the cake is done, poke it with a toothpick and pour glaze on top. Remove cake from pan after cooling completely. Tastes best the next dat after the flavours have soaked in and mellowed.
