Jamaican Rum cake
A very easy rum cake thats super delicious
Jamaican Rum cake
Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 box vanilla pudding mix
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup dark rum
for the glaze
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup dark rum
Instructions
- Mix all cake ingredients and beat with electric mixer for about 2 minutes until blended. Pour into a prepared bundt pan and bake at 325 degrees for about 50 mins.
- Cook glaze by melting butter in saucepan. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Add rum after sugar has completely dissolved.
- When the cake is done, poke it with a toothpick and pour glaze on top. Remove cake from pan after cooling completely. Tastes best the next dat after the flavours have soaked in and mellowed.
