Easy Pound Cake

This is an easy, great tasting pound cake.

Easy Pound Cake


  • 2 cups (4 sticks) sweet unsalted butter
  • 1 pound confectioners’ sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 pound all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Butter a 9 1/2-inch tube pan.
  3. In a large bowl with an electric mixer, cream the butter and
  4. sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
  5. Beat in the eggs, one by one, beating well after each
  6. addition.
  7. Then add the flour to the mixture, a little at a time.
  8. Stir in the vanilla.
  9. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours, or until a wooden toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
