3-Layer Stacked Henna Design

3-Layer Stacked Henna Design on Cake Central

This was my most fun cake to do ever. It's a 6" & 8" Round stacked on top of a 12" Square. The "Henna" design was my first and was a colaboration of several cake designs that I found in various locations - many here I believe. It took me 4 hours to decorate - I don't know if that's slow or not!! lol The flavors are Marble Cake and alternating Peanut Butter Mousse & Bavarian Creme filling. Thanks for looking!

Wow! Since I do henna, I thought about doing a henna design on a cake, but I had not seen it before. I just liked the concept, so now that I see it...I think I'll try it!! Good job!

Wow everyone..Thanks so much for your words. I just signed on to see that so many of you said so many nice things. I use a basic butter/shortening recipe - From Wilton, only modified a bit. Some of it was freehand and some of it was patterns I had. I had to freehand what I couldn't find in all my stencils. Thanks everyone for looking!

What a beautiful cake.....in 4 hours no less. I am not familiar with henna. It looks almost like that use to be called candlewicking. Whatever you call it, this technique produced a stunning cake. You are very talented and very patient to complete such an inticate design

Thanks! I just used some Wilton Stencils that I purchased years ago. There were a couple that I thought looked like they would fit the motif so I used them. I made the PB Mousse...I use a recipe that calls for Mascarpone cheese...It's very rich and thick but it really holds up well!! You just have to refrigerate for a day before filling your cake so that it firms up! :)
