I don't think you need the formers either. They look great.
They still look really nice! If you want to see a pathetically flat poinsettia, go to my photos and the Christmas time birthday cake (two tiers with poinsettia on top). It looks ridiculous - far worse than anything here, because I made it with gumpaste and didn't have time to let it dry.
