For the base cake I used an 13x19 cake cut in half and stacked. The top of the bassinet is a 10 inch round cut in half and stacked, using a metal cake support ring,then turned on it's side with buttercream in the center for glue. I also used two skewers, one in each layer of the top rounded portion to keep it in place. the cake was then crumbcoated, then I used a basketweave on the entire outside. The flowers are gumpaste and the blanket is fondant ruffled on the edges with Earlene Moore's diamond patt...

You'll need to do some cutting of the 10 inch half rounds to get them to fit perfectly.
