for my brothers 21st b'day...thank you to everyone for all your help and turtorials. unfortunately my bottles had to be the real deal...my sugar ones melted because of all the moisture in the air throughout the week!!! a weeks worth of work in the trash...but i know i can do it and my next one will be better!! thanks for looking!!! chocolate cake with chocolate filling, covered in fondant, painted with silver dust luster, ice is sugar!!!

This is great!!!! I'm sorry to hear that your sugar bottles melted :( I'm sure they were great too. how id you get the bottles to stay up??? They are heavy! lol

ehhh...I am sure your brother prefered the REAL beer anyway LOL! It really looks great though. I tried this cake too, but it didnt work out :cry: Your ice looks great, how long did you cook it? I have seen a lot that took on a yellowish cast, but yours is prefect. Just want to know in case I try it again!

if you look closely they are are the "coronitas" the little bottles, so i had no problems with them staying up!!!

firstly love the cake... and the ice wow... can i ask though what you are talking about sugar bottles..? is there directions somewhere on how to? i am always looking for something new totry for using in other things and this has me intrigued.. excellent job

If you hadn't said it, and I didn't know better, I would have thought your ice was real. It looks real, I bet your beer bottles looked real too! Better luck next time! Still a great cake anyway.

I agree with what someone said, I am sure your brother likes the REAL beer better than sugar beer bottles... What better to wash down cake (or anything else) with?!?! Nice job! LOOOOVE the ice. How'd you make it?

The cake is awsome!!! Can you tell me how to make sugar bottles do you have a recipe. I never used sugar to make things.
