Birthday Cake
This is a simple white cake with buttercream filling. I make all of the birthday cakes for work and this was one of them. This is the second cake I ever did and first time attempting cornelli lace. Pretty sure I messed that up, but I thought the effect turned out alright. Thanks for looking!!!
I had trouble with the cornelli too--especially on the side of the cake. It kept wanting to string down.

I love the color you chose! How did you make that reddish purple mauve color!!!! :wink: Cornelli is so fun to do! I do it on practically all of my cakes!!!
I used the Wilton burgendy coloring. I honestly don't know if that is the darkest or somewhere in between. Basically I got tired of mixing and called it good!
