Sewing Cake

Sewing Cake on Cake Central

6 inch butter cake. All credit to BIKEGAL who gave me permission to copy a design of hers that I have admired for many many months. So kind to give me instructions for the buttons and detail. All covered and accessories in fondant. Made for another teacher at school who is always sewing the costumes for plays and dance performances. Its her birthday. I am real happy with how it turned out. Thanks again BIKEGAL

Oh wow!! Love your cake! What a beautiful design! May I ask, where do you boy those pretty cake boards? Or what are they?

on

they are really cheap thin cake squares or rounds.... they have a white matt finish on the underside and a shiny silver top side. They are very thin so you can't put a heavy cake on them but if its small and heavy you can get away with it. Here in Australia they are soooo cheap many people don't like them because of that but I find on small cakes it helps to keep the costs down.
