Unicorn Cake

Unicorn Cake on Cake Central

I made this using the Wilton Alternate use for the Lamb Cake design pan. I created all the flowers using Wilton's ready made Fondant, colorings and luster dusts. I have to tell you while I enjoyed the flower making process, even kids did not like eating the flowers. Does anyone actually like the taste of Fondant???

Boy, 1-2 hours in the partial Sun and by the time we cut the cake the Mane was nearly gray! I was so surprised. I mean I know that frosting fades but I did not think it would be so quick. Oh and my favorite part was the Gold Luster dust I applied to the hooves. They were covered in yellow fondant, and then lustered up, you can sort of see in the picture they shined like crazy. The horn was shiny too but not a clear as the hooves.
