This was for a formal graduation party. Cake was covered in white fondant with the accents in gold luster dust...that stuff is great! Cake was 6, 8, 10, 14 and Filling was dulce de leche and strawberry.
Thank you everyone!! I had alot of fun doing it and was sooo glad it came out nice. Its was my first time working with gold luster so I was a little nervous. As for the dulce de leche filling Maria, I do the condensed milk version of it. Boil the can for about 2 1/2 hours then, viola, dulce de leche ! And I moisten the cake with some Port wine then spread the dulce...Delish!!! My mom taught me that trick.

Yummy!!!! Dulce de leche? Did you take it out of the can and spread it on or did you mix it with something else? Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!
Very Elegant and well decorated!
Lovely!!! You did a fantastic job!!
Absoultely lovely cake. Do you boil the can with it still closed or do you open it and then boil it?
I so love this cake!!! I am looking forward to making my daughter's grad cake in June. I would love to try one as beautiful as yours.
