10" chocolate, 8" vanilla, & 6" chocolate all with coconut filling and iced in vanilla bc. Not totally impressed with the outcome as it was really hot out and hard to get the icing to look like I wanted it to. Ah well!
When I make my bc icing I use 1/2 c B and 1/2 c Crisco, 4 cups of icing sugar 3 tbsp of water, 1 tsp of vanilla, pinch of salt and 1 tbsp of mer.pow..try that and you should get a stiffer consistancy

Not bad. We all have problems with the icing. What kind did you use? You may want to try more shortening if it is really hot. But pretty good job.
