Thanks! I just use a dough scraper and just keep running it under hot water and smoothing the icing that way. It took a lot of practice to get the smoothing technique down pat. :)

Yep, it's real ribbon. Since the cake is iced with whipped cream icing, the ribbon just stuck to it very easily, which was great! No grease marks, either! Thanks for your nice comments! :)

Thanks!!!! My whipped cream icing is a lot lighter and less sweet than buttercream. My customers really like it, though.
