Darel's Multi Colored Dream Shirt!
My boss has a propensity for wild shirts, so this was for his birthday this year. It's yellow cake with buttercream. I frosted the cake then used square cookie cutters and pressed them into the icing to form the pattern. Then I just filled in the squares with buttercream, let them crust slightly, then used a paper towel and warm hands to melt the squares together. The paper towel gave the "shirt" just enough texture to look like fabric. It was a real hit with the birthday boy!
