Rustic Roses And Succulents
A Wedding Cake for a lovely young couple. This is the first time I make succulents. I must admit that the whole cake was totally out of my comfort zone. I've never done rustic buttercream before. Nevertheless, I think the bride made a lovely combination of colors and textures. The request for the design was entirely hers. I tried to execute it the best I could.
This is just stunning and you cannot tell by looking that you were out of your comfort zone!
@SandraSmiley I know it doesn't seem like I was stressed. You should have seen me panting and freaking in panic the whole morning yesterday. Fortunately, I was praying as I was working...It worked wonders!
The pictures do not do this cake justice! It came out beautifully - exactly what my daughter requested for her special day! Beautiful ruffly detail on the roses and the succulents were spot-on, all matching her bouquet. And not just pretty to look at - it was delicious too. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
