Electrician's Cake
For my son's 45th birthday, he is an electrician so the theme for the cake. The cable reel is 2 cake drums covered in fondant and brushed with airbrush color. In between is a 10" styrofoam cake dummy. Everything is gumpaste except the light bulb which is blown sugar (Isomalt) with a small LED light inside. The cable wire was done with an extruder, took forever!
