50Th Wedding Anniversary In Gold And White Flowers

Top layer is covered in fondant and sprayed with gold highlighter. The base of the cake are all buttercream flowers made with the Russian flower tips. The flowers have a light coat of gold highlighter.

What gold spray did you use? It's so solid... Looks like it's made of gold! I used a Wilton one once and it sucked.

Thank you.  The Russian tips are very easy to use.   Make your frosting a little stiff and the flowers hold their shape better

Aldonza, the gold look is achieved by using a small air compressor / sprayer and Gold highlight powder.  You can find the gold highlight in the luster dust section.  I spray the cake first with a light basic gold color and let it dry for a few minutes.  Then mix the gold highlight with a little bit of vodka and spray that on the cake.  It does shine and is very easy to do.  It takes just a few minutes.
