This is a 10 inch round cake with buttercream icing underneath and candy clay pancakes, strawberries and blueberries! No fondant! Corn syrup subs in for pancake syrup! All edible!! I couldn't find any tutorials that didn't use fondant so I decided to experiment and make my own using candy clay! :)
This is unbelievably amazing!! so convincing!! great job. what is candy clay? do u make that or have to buy it? i may try to make a pancake cake haha
Thanks Cakemoms24! It's pretty much the same as modeling chocolate! Just candy coating or melts and corn syrup! So easy to make and great to work with! I never use fondant, only buttercream and candy clay!
