@SALLYE  Ganache is simply a ratio of chocolate to cream. There are lots of tutorials on YouTube if you are interested in making it. It's delicious! I've switched to using ganache under my fondant. You can get really crisp sharp edges and it doesn't sag like buttercream. Ganache also makes a really great filling. Did I mention that it's delicious?! I've never worked with modeling chocolate so I can't comment on that. I used fondant around the edge of the book to make it look like the binding/cover. I found pictures on the web and used pictures my client sent to me for the edible images. If you don't have an edible printer, you can use @icingimages  . They're very reasonably priced and have a pretty good turn around. I find their website is very easy to work with too.

Thank you so much, I have decorated a few cakes on just things and ideas that I have gotten from this website. I had never used the Ganache or modeling chocolate before. So I thought I would just try and see just what it was and if it was something that I wanted to fool with. My niece has started doing some awesome cakes that she is teaching herself from YouTube.  So  now I am thinking of getting back into the swing of things. Thank you so much again for your help! :)
