Today (8/5) is my second daughter’s birthday. Almost very year I make her a cake with a musical them being that her name is Melody; but this year I decided to do something different. On searching for that something different I came across a lot of watermelon cakes. That’s perfect being that it is summer, picnic time and we’re in a heat wave, what better than a slice of watermelon to refresh yourself from the scorching heat. LOL!! The cake is a 6 inch half ball vanilla cake. Dyed the batter red and added mini chocolate chips to the batter for the melon seeds. Covered in fondant with fondant decorations.
