Green Cake

I made this cake for a “green party” we were having at work for having met all our metrics for the past 2 months. I used it as an excuse to practice a few methods I have tried before (like the scallops on the 2nd tier and the sugar flowers) as well as try out a few new ideas (like jeff_arnett's upside down frosting method). It was my first time attempting a cake this large, and I’m very pleased with the results.

Howie, so sorry I'm just seeing your note. I learned this watching tutorials online. You just pipe a column of round dots then use the back of a spoon or offset spatula to smear out one side, then repeat.
