I made this cake for my step-daughter's wedding. It was the first wedding cake I had ever made. I learned alot and now that my step-son is soon to be married, I hope to put all that into use.
I'm doing my first wedding cake with columns. I did a stacked cake last year. Were they easy to use? I have the grecian spiked pillars. Did you think they were sturdy? Did you have trouble popping them in straight? Thanks.
The roses are sugar paste. The leaves are butter cream tinted green. I outlined them with a small tube tip. I originally did them with the wilton embroidery technique but it looked horrible so I filled it in with green icing and smoothed it with water. The cake was made in Las Vegas and then transported to Ventura, California and assembled.
