This was a b-day cake for my sister-in-law and my first attempt at gumpaste/fondant flowers. They were fun to make! The cake was chocolate with raspberry filling. I was happy with how it turned out, but I was so upset that there are ripples in the fondant. ugh. I also used a white pearl dust on the whole thing, which made it look very pretty, but also changed the colors a bit. The purple became a periwinkle and the pink a more salmon pink. Oh well!
