Brooklyn Castle

Brooklyn Castle on Cake Central

As usual, I don't do SMALL anything. This was for a little girl's party to serve 40 guests--will serve way more. 2-layer 10" French vanilla cake and 2-ayer 6" chocolate fudge cake with ice cream cone turrets. Everything is edible.

It's Buttercream except for banner, door and windows. Squares on top of cakes are after dinner mints.

When I saw this picture, I thought just another castle cake but when I opened it and saw the texture I fell in love with it. I really like it. Great job!

So the long posts under the cones are also edible? Did you just carve cake? I would love to know how to get the stone effect too! It is just an amazing cake!!

The long posts are ice cream cone cups "glued end to end with royal icing. The sugar cone is "glued" in woth melted candy melts. As for the stone effect, I just piped dollops of frosting with tip #10 slightly touching, then pressed smoother with papertowel. Not too hard so that it still looked like stones. Oh, and I cut a small square out of the bottom cone so that the pillar would fit snug against the square cake.
