Choc Ganache - What Not To Do!

Choc Ganache - What Not To Do! on Cake Central

Posting this as a good example of what NOT to do with choc ganache! Made this one for my family. 2-layer white cake, torted and filled with raspberry filling, iced in BC then covered with choc ganache. Melted white chocolate is drizzled over the top. All future ganache cakes will be on a plate/cardboard the same size as the cake so the choc doesn't pool up on the plate like this one. Oh well! My family ate it up!

Oh i like the pooling, I thought you had done it on purpose and was wondering how you got it so even. Looks yummo..mmmmmm. If you dont want it to pool try doing it over a wire rack and then you can collect and keep the ganache that runs thru. mmmm off to eat chocolate now.....

I agree! The pooling looks great!! I'm not a huge chocolate fan, but that makes me think otherwise. K'ly

Wish I could scoop up some of that chocolate and eat it right now...YUM! It looks like you meant to do that.

I was immediately drawn to this cake because of the chocolate and light drizzle on top. It looks delicious and simple just the way I like 'em. I'm one of the pool sccopers-so anything less would be, well less! Great cake.
