This was for a 8 year old girl's birthday party. her mum was the recipient of a raffle prize I donated for our village fete. She wanted a pool in the shape of an 8 but I incorporated the shape into a rectangular cake to provide more space. Cake was huge - 12" x 15". I was very nervous about using the piping gel as I didn't know what affect it would have on the figures in the "water". I used Debbie Brown's Butter Sponge cake recipe which turned out great. The family loved the result.
