This is my first official disaster. This is a cake I did for my cousin's first birthday. I didn't have any of my cake stuff with me.I had to go out a bought a few things. I didn't even have a metal spatula.

After adding the border on the top cake I removed the star tip from one bag and when I went to put it on the other bag so I could do a border on the bottom cake I couldn't find it... vanished in thin air.

Needless to say I was running behind and didn't get a chance to take a picture before I left. When I arrived at the party after 10 miles on Houston's bumpy roads I discovered the top tier shifted. I tried to fix it and added the owl. I went to the car to get my camera and came back to find it being fixed because the owl decided to take a dive. It broke in half, but they were able to stick it back on. Oh I forgot to add I asked my mom to take the last 9-in cake out of the oven while I ran to Walmart. It was still in the oven when I returned. I had to redo the layer using a slightly different recipe. I guess it just wasn't my day for cakes.

It did taste good which is what really counts :).
