This was for one of my best friends!I am so proud of this cake. I didn't get a good straight on picture though...angle makes it look a little distorted. Buttercream with fondant ribbons and lace, front jewel, and birds in nest. This is based on a cake from issue 2 of CC magazine...i just changed it too buttercream, made it ivory and added anohter tier to it. I know i have seen that lace technique before...so i'll find out where and post that. Original was done by Theresa Willerford/SweetTcakes. My friend saw the picture and had to have it. She has 2 little girls from a previous marraige, so tucked under one of each of the parent bird's wings, is a baby bird :). Oh! and first time for piping. I can use a little practice, but i can see how it can be quite fun! Thanks for the tips on piping on got on the forum last week!! Thanks for looking!!
